FC Barcelona's Neymar Jr attends NBA Finals
The Brazilian gets to meet tournament MVP Stephen Curry as well as his compatriots Anderson Varejao and Leandrinho Barbosa
Neymar Jr was one of the star guests at game two of the NBA finals series, where the Golden State Warriors coasted to 110-77 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Oracle Arena, Oakland.
The Barça star got the chance to visit the locker room of the defending champions, where he met Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and his compatriot Leandrinho Barbosa. He also hooked up with former Barça basketball player and star of the Brazilian national team Anderson Varejao, who he presented with a special FC Barcelona shirt.
Speaking to the press, NBA MVP Curry commented that Neymar Jr “is a very talented soccer star, who moves elegantly across the field ... He’s an inspiration because of everything he does on and off the field.”
Neymar Jr is enjoying a break in the United States, where he announced last week a new collaboration with Michael Jordan’s sportswear brand, including the release of special football boots bearing the symbol of the NBA legend – a symbol that has only ever been used before in association to basketball.
Both the NBA and Neymar Jr made a big deal out of the Brazilian’s visit to the Oracle Arena, where plenty of photos and videos were taken for upload onto social media.
