FC Barcelona Women remain in the title fight after a comfortably 3-0 victory away to UD Collerense on Sunday.
Mariona gave the team the perfect start with a goal on three minutes after a fine assist from Bárbara Latorre.
Patri and UnzuĂ© came close to doubling the team’s advantage on 12 and 17 minutes but it was Mariona who would seal her brace moments later to give Xavi Llorens’ side a two-goal cushion going into the break.
Just as was the case in the opening half, the second period began with a very early Barça goal. This time Patri made no mistake with the finish on 49 minutes to leave Collerense with absolutely no chance of getting back in the game.
The win keeps Barça hot on the heels of league leaders Athletic Club. The Basques remain a point clear at the top after their win against RCD Espanyol.
