Preparations continue for El Clásico

Barça train with all available players on Tito Vilanova Field; the team's South American internationals the only ones yet to return

The countdown to El Clásico keeps on ticking.

FC Barcelona trained under the watchful eye of manager Luis Enrique at the Ciutat Esportiva on Wednesday morning, with all players on hand except those South Americans — Messi, Mascherano, Alves and Suárez — still away on international duty.

Already back from abroad are Spain national team players Piqué, Jordi Alba, Bartra and Sergi Roberto, the Brazil players Neymar Jr and Rafinha, and Chile goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

Three days out from El Clásico, the Catalans find themselves amidst preparations for Saturday’s 8.30pm match versus Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

Barça will train again on Thursday at 6.00pm.
