FC Barcelona make their way to Madrid for bout with Rayo Vallecano
Eighteen players fly to Madrid for Thursday night's league encounter with Rayo Vallecano
FC Barcelona are in Madrid this Thursday for a rare, mid-week day trip to the Spanish capital. But they won't be visiting El Retiro or El Prado or any other of the City's main tourist attractions. Instead, they'll be resting up in their hotel before heading out to the neighbourhood of Vallecas for a 9.00pm date with Rayo Vallecano.
The team took off from Barcelona-El Prat Airport this morning at 11.00am and landed at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport around noon.
On the flight were not only the 18 players that have been called upon, along with head coach Luis Enrique and his staff, but also Club Vice President Susana Monje and Board Members Javier Bordas and Xavier Vilajoana, all three of whom will attend a directors' lunch in Vallecas with their Rayo counterparts.
