Coyotes' Smith blanks Oilers after 40-game absence

Goaltender Mike Smith made 44 saves to record the shutout in his return from injury and Antoine Vermette had two goals and an assist as the Arizona Coyotes defeated the hometown Edmonton Oilers 4-0 on Saturday.
